Hey everyone! It’s so quiet around here with it being winter, so I am doing some more personal shares than usual. I hope that’s okay!
Since my last post I have decided to go in a different direction for my personal photo project. Instead of a weekly “POTW” (Photo of the Week), I began a 365 project. What this means is I am attempting (keyword being “attempting”) to take one picture a day. This can be from my “real” camera or my phone. Most photos have been taken with my Nikon DSLR, but I’m also using a Fuji XE2S and my iPhone 7 Plus. This is more lifestyle photography than posed obviously, so what you see is real life. Sometimes messy, sometimes not.
Below are a couple collages of the photos I’ve been taking, with an extra few added in. I think I’m on day 29 or 30 (I didn’t start on the first). They’re mostly of my two kids: Ryan (7) and Hannah (4). We’ve played in the snow, gone to the park, did some watercolor painting and pretend play, I went on a New York City girls trip (with my sister and my two nieces), enjoyed some toy shopping to spend Christmas money (he bought a Nerf gun, which is also pictured), played video games, cuddled, and so much more. These winter months are tough (especially in this area), and so it makes this photo project a bit of a challenge. To say I am looking forward to spring and summer is a bit of an understatement. Our house is generally pretty dark and can be difficult to photograph in, especially in the evening. Bring on the sun, outdoor activities, and warm weather!
